Professional Vacuum Sealers - Not Just For Businesses

A professional vacuum sealer can be used by anyone, and is not just for those in the restaurant or food service industry. If you are not familiar with a vacuum sealer, what it does is remove the air from a storage bag, seal it as the air is removed and allow you to store food for 2-3 times longer than conventional storage methods. There are many things you can use your sealer for, and not just for storing food. If you have baseball cards, comic books, and even jewelry that needs to be kept safe, this is a good way to do it.

If you are going camping for a few days, a professional vacuum sealer can save you a lot of money. In many cases, when you are camping for more than overnight trips, food can spoil because it is not sealed properly. As soon as it comes in contact with water from your cooler, it starts to get nasty, and often the juices from the food can leak out into the cooler itself, ruining other things you have in it. With a food sealer, you can make individual meals, seal them, and not have to worry about them going bad from being contaminated.

For example, if you wanted to have hamburgers on one night, you could make up the individual burgers, season them any way you like, arrange them in the sealer bag, and use your professional vacuum sealer. You can even plan ahead, put sealed meals in the freezer, and then they will also act like ice in the cooler. You will want to put the things you are going to use last at the bottom of the ice chest, then stack items that you will be using first on top on them.

There are many different types of Professional Vacuum sealer styles and many brands to choose from. Some are relatively cheap, and these less expensive ones may be a good idea for people just starting out sealing their food. You can find better grades that can run into the hundreds of dollars that have better suction and sealing capabilities. You can also find sealers that have optional accessories for sealing jars and canisters as well. The other cost involved with buying food sealers is the price for sealer bags. There are two different kinds of sealer bags. Some are already made in quart and gallon sized bags. These come in packages of 18-22, depending on the size needed. You can also find bags on a roll, and you just cut them to fit your needs, seal one end, then fill and vacuum seal the other end. Prices on either of these types can vary greatly, and you will have to shop around.

If you are looking for a good professional vacuum sealer, a good idea would be to start at one of your local stores. You can see a variety of different sealer products and brands all in one location. Before you buy one though, make sure that which ever brand you choose has an abundance of bags available, or can accept different kinds of sealer bags. Otherwise, you may find bags one day, and not the next.
