Germs and bacteria get stuck in between linings of the curtains. This feature is good because they prevent bacteria from entering the house further and spread like crazy. For instance, germs that enter the window might contaminate the food, which in turn will cause certain illnesses. This is where the protective measures run its course. On the other hand, the curtains should be regularly washed.

Last but not the least, curtains certainly beautify and improve the atmosphere of a specific room. In the kitchen, cream-colored curtains would fit the whole theme of the room since most kitchens follow the standard yet hunger-inducing color combination (light red, flesh, beige, peach and the like.) Kitchens with dark themes, on the other hand, should also come with curtains of light tone to enable light to pass through.
